Listening in schools,

improves life at home.

Peer-run social support.

For kids, by kids.

  • Teach a handful of kids how to run their own listening tables and give them a space to do it, then let them.

  • You can teach social-emotional development from books just like you can show someone a diagram on how to swim.

You can’t learn how to swim if you don’t get into the water.

  • Listeners will get a chance to share what they’ve learned with each other. Since every session is different, kids will be able to reinforce each other’s experience by contributing their own.

  • No school group is complete without some adult supervision. School counselors or psychologists work with these groups to help expand their understanding and to provide a neccesary emotional backstop.
